LOVELOCK - The Flying Saucer Trap Club will be holding a "Wobbles Shoot" on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the trapshooting range located at 1550 Airport Road Lovelock.
Event number one will be the Wobbles Singles (50 birds). Sign-up will begin at 9 a.m. and the first event will start at 10 a.m. Event #2 will be Wobbles Handicap (50 birds), and Event #3 will be the Wobbles Doubles (50 doubles).
Everyone is invited to come out and try his or her skills on these challenging "Wobble Targets." Lunch will be provided for all shooters, beverages and shells can be purchased at the club.
Teams sought for Spring Trap Shooting League
The Flying Saucer Trap Club is looking for teams to sign-up for the Spring Trap Shooting League. The league will start on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the trapshooting range located at 1550 Airport Road, Lovelock. The shoots will be held on the following alternating Saturdays for five shoots.
Teams consist of five members and awards will be given for the weekly high gun for both the A-league and B-league. In addition, awards will be presented to the "High Overall Men's Shooter" for both the A and B leagues and "High Overall Ladies Shooter." The first- and second-place teams in both the A and B leagues will also receive awards.
Any shooter under the age of 15 years old is welcome to participate. All youth shooters will receive free shells and free targets. Youth awards will be presented weekly to the high shooter.
