WJHS volleyball team opens season at home next week

The Winnemucca Junior High School seventh and eighth-grade volleyball teams get their seasons underway on Saturday, Feb. 28, in Winnemucca at 9 a.m..

The Warriors will host the Tri-County league, featuring matches against McDermitt, Pershing County and Battle Mountain.

Winnemucca will travel to Fallon on Tuesday, March 3, at 3:30 p.m. and be back on the road for the second round of Tri-County play on Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m.

Winnemucca travels to McDermitt on Saturday, March, 14 and closes out the season on Saturday, March 21, in Battle for the Tri-County Championships at 9 a.m.

The eighth-grade team includes Tatyana Carlson, Sydney Connors, Hailey Fernandez, Juli Garcia, Liliana Garcia, Rachel Garrison, Stacey Horton, Macey Katzenmeyer, Rebecca Kuskie, Madison McClellan, Julianne Montero, Macy Munroe and Yeseina Ramirez.

The seventh-grade squad is comprised of Sierra Maestrejuan, Jamie McDonald, Amanda Franklin, Savannah Dalley, Ariana Galindo, Kelcey Cooper, Destiny Starkey, Carly Cappellen, Julia Riveria, Allie Hummel, Keira Hillbish, Rylee Clement and Cynthia Magana.[[In-content Ad]]
