WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca Junior High School seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball teams get their seasons underway today in Carson City and Saturday in Fernley.
The Warriors play Carson Middle School and Eagle Valley today in Carson City, beginning at 3 p.m. at Eagle Valley Middle School.
Winnemucca will be in Fernley on Saturday to face Fallon and Fernley at 8:30 a.m. at Fernley Intermediate School and Silverland Middle School.
The Warriors make their home debut on Thursday, Nov. 7, against Fallon at 3:30 p.m.
Tri-County play begins on Friday, Nov. 15, at Pershing County High School in Lovelock at 9 a.m. Tri-County action moves to McDermitt on Saturday, Nov. 23, and Battle Mountain on Friday, Dec. 6.
Winnemucca will be back on the road on Tuesday, Dec. 10, to play Fallon at 3:30 p.m.
Winnemucca closes out the season at home on Saturday, Dec. 14, when it hosts the Tri-County championship at 9 a.m.
The eighth-grade team is coached by K.C. Kracaw and includes
Peyton Capellen, Cole Smith, Eric Lopez, Domonick Solis, Riley Sakurada, Steven Bosch, Dylan Kalkoske, Nathan Kepler, Lorenzo Mattson, Brayden Jensen, Kairo Mora and Darian Solis.
The seventh-grade squad is coached by Eric Peters and includes Ridge Ricketts, Kyle Sappington, Ethan Radmanovich, Jacob Marriott, Logan Peters, Brenden Domire, Oscar Juanes, Miguel Barajas, Scottie Smith, Evan Jeppsen, Dorsey Navearn, Josiah Chapman and Bradley Murdock.[[In-content Ad]]
