Art teacher Kim Rust commemorated her 20th year teaching at Winnemucca Junior High by creating something she could leave behind that was a part of her: a mosaic made out of ceramics, stained glass, and the Winnemucca skyline. Rust began working on the mosaic at the beginning of the school year and finished in late October. According to Rust, the mosaic is a combination of contemporary and traditional design. This is the largest mosaic Rust has completed so far and she said it was a great experience.
