Action begins on Tuesday at the Major Boys Field, east of Bode Howard Pool. High Desert and Elko open the tournament on Tuesday at 9 a.m. The winner of that game will play Winnemucca on Wednesday at 9 a.m. Other games on Tuesday include White Pine versus Ruby Mountain at 11:15 a.m. and Silverada against Walker River at 6 p.m.
The tournament is double elimination and continues through July 1, with the championship game at 9 a.m. The winner advances to the state tournament in Carlin.
The team includes Brooks Bergenheier, Shae Brown, Michael Casalez, Anthony Hemp, Sean Herrera, Garrette Hinshaw, Joshua Leveille, Dylan Money, Tyler Neu, Colton Von Aspern and Michael Yarnell.
The squad is coached by Benny Martinez, Matt Growcock and Sheldon Bergenheier.
