WINNEMUCCA -- The Winnemucca Community Garden invites you to our Farmers' Market, which will take place on Saturday, Aug., 4, from 9 a.m. until noon. The Community Garden is located at 151 W. McArthur Avenue at the intersection of Melarkey and McArthur Streets, and across the street from Sonoma Heights Elementary School.
Locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs will be available, and hopefully cut flowers, too. Produce from the Children's Garden will be available as well, and the children will have a lemonade stand. Coffee and pastries will be served.
The Garden is seeking local gardeners to participate by either selling their produce or donating their produce to the Garden to be sold at our Farmers' Market. The idea is for us to gather, share, learn, and grow as a community. So, come share with us and show everyone your beautiful zucchini, splendid head of cabbage, or fabulous carrots!
