Winnemucca 9- and-10-year-old all stars win opener in tourney
The Winnemucca 9- and 10-year-old all stars scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat High Desert (Fernley) 18-17 on Wednesday morning in its opening game of the District III Tournament being held in Winnemucca. The all-stars also played on Thursday at 6 p.m. Results were not available at press time. The tournament continues through Sunday at the Major Boys field.
