The Winnemucca 9- and 10-year-old all stars finished third in the District III Tournament that was held in Winnemucca over the past week. Winnemucca lost a pair of heartbreaking one-run games to Ruby Mountain 11-10 on Thursday and Silverada 6-5 on Saturday morning to be eliminated from the tournament. Ruby Mountain and Silverada advanced to the championship game.
