The Winnemucca 9-10-year-old Little League all-stars will be traveling to Fernley next week for the Division 3 Tournament. High Desert is the host and White Pine (Ely), Silverada (Dayton), Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek), Elko and Walker River (Yerington) are also competing in the week-long event.
Winnemucca takes on White Pine at 4 p.m. Monday. Silverada and Ruby Mountain and Elko and Walker River are the other first round match-ups. High Desert has a bye in the opening round.
If Winnemucca defeats White Pine, they will play High Desert at 6 p.m. Tuesday. If Winnemucca loses they will play on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The tournament runs all week with the championship game set for 6 p.m. on Saturday. If needed, a second title game will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
The winner advances to the state tournament in Carson City.[[In-content Ad]]
