The Winnemucca 11 and 12-year-old all-stars will play host to the Division III Region Tournament beginning on Sunday. The tournament will run through next week at the Major Field park. Walker River and Ruby Mountain open the tournament at 9 a.m on Sunday, with Silverada and Elko playing at 11 a.m. Opening ceremonies will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Winnemucca faces White Pine at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Teams expected to play in the tournament include Elko, Lincoln County, Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek), Silverada (Dayton), Walker River, (Yerington) and High Desert (Fernley).
