The Winnemucca 10- and 11-year-old Little League all stars made the trip east last week to Elko for the District III tournament along with Lincoln County, High Desert (Fernley), Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek) and host Elko. Winnemucca opened the tournament last Wednesday at Ernie Hall Little League field against Ruby Mountain and was defeated 6-3. Winnemucca took on High Desert on Thursday night and won 10-0 in four innings. In Friday night's matchup with Lincoln County, Winnemucca saw its tournament come to an end with a 13-9 loss.[[In-content Ad]]
