The Winnemucca 10-11-year-old stars were in Fernley this week for the Division III tournament. Winnemucca defeated Elko 4-3 in its first game on Monday evening. Winnemucca met up with Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek) on Tuesday night and lost 15-4. In an elimination game on Wednesday evening, Winnemucca could not hold an early advantage and lost 13-10 to Elko. Ruby Mountain and Elko played in the championship game on Thursday night.
