Windows broken at Amtrak station, arrests made

WINNEMUCCA - Two individuals were arrested on suspicion of vandalizing the Amtrak station in Winnemucca last weekend.

Officers from the Winnemucca Police Department were dispatched to the Amtrak station, on Railroad Street, regarding reported vandalism on July 21 around 4:05 a.m. Upon arrival officers discovered that three windows in the newly constructed kiosk had been broken.

Officers spoke to a concerned citizen who had seen the subjects allegedly throwing rocks at the kiosk. The reporting person described the subjects and told officers that the suspects had left on foot.

Officers were quickly able to locate the subjects, a short distance from the kiosk, and arrest both men.

Troy Donovan Zuehlke, 22, and Richard Christopher Scott, 21, both from Winnemucca, were arrested, without incident. Both men were charged with felony destruction of property and bail was set for each subject at $10,000.
