William W. Workman

William W. Workman (Bill), 72, of Winnemucca, Nev., passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013, of colon cancer. Born on June 7, 1940, in West Virginia, he was the son of Fred and Florencie Workman.

Bill was a 1959 graduate of Renick High School, West Virginia.

He worked in the gold mining industry and worked at Turquoise Ridge for Barrick Gold Company. He retired on Jan. 4, 2013, after working 24 years with them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Charles M. Workman and Fred Allen Workman. Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margie, daughter Kelly Hill (Todd) of Reno, son, Greg Workman of Afton, Minn., brothers, Steve Workman (Kathy) of Amelia, Ohio, Delmas Workman (Sue) of Lewisburg, W. Va., Marvin Workman (Paula) of Lynchburg, Va., sisters, Annebelle Antonson of Pennsylvania, Jearldine Sydenstricker (Gene) of Willoughby, Ohio, Bonnie Owens of Lynchburg, W. Va., sister-in-law, Patricia Holson (Del) of Benicia, Calif., grandchildren, Crystal Legasse (Mike) of Austin, Texas, great-granchildren Aiden Legasse, Tanner Legasse of Austin, Texas.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Albertson Funeral Home, Winnemucca, Nev. In lieu of flowers you can donate to Genesis Home Health Services or to Humboldt Hospice.

Celebration of Life Reception will be at 2 p.m. at the Grass Valley Community Center, 13295 Grass Valley Road. He will be missed and loved from all family and friends, bowling buddies and wife Margie. Arrangements by Albertson Funeral Home.[[In-content Ad]]
