May 14, 1926-June 17, 2013
This is a last testament to a man that has lived four score and seven years. We are very lucky to have had this man in our lives as he has raised us to be honest, hard working, enjoy life and "don't talk to strangers." Just kidding, dad (dad knew no strangers).
Bill Sherman met his beautiful wife in Guam in 1947 while he was in the army and they were married in Brookfield, Missouri, on March 25, 1949. Soon to be born was Bill Jr. in Texas in 1950 and Lorraine in Missouri in 1951.
Korea broke out and dad was back to the business of war until he was discharged. Bill and M.M. moved to Lovelock in 1952. Sons Robert, Frank and Richard followed big brother and sis after the move.
Bill was involved in all aspects of the lives of young people, PTA, 4-H and Boy Scouts. While a BSA leader, he saw many a young boy turn into an Eagle Scout and fine young men, including a heart surgeon and a minister.
Bill was a true artist with leather, belts to saddles. Nothing was beyond his talent. His work will live on as he taught this craft to many in night school.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, beloved in-laws Omar and Queen Ramsey, daughter Lorraine and two grandsons.
Survived by wife Mary Margaret, sons and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Per dad's request, there will be no services. Please don't let that stop you from remembering Bill in your own way.
