William (Bud) Otto Wheaton

Bud Wheaton 80, of Golconda Nev., passed away Jan. 5, 2015, at Renown Medical Center. He passed away surrounded by his daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Joe Boudreau, his wife, Barbara Wheaton and granddaughters, Jennifer Boudreau and Meagan Fabor. He passed after a very short battle with lung cancer.

Bud was born Feb. 15, 1934, to Charles and Harrieta Wheaton in Grand Rapids, Mich. He met and married Clara Christiansen and from that marriage came nine children. He later met and married June Wheaton with whom he spent 36 amazing years with until her passing in 2006. He then met and married Barbara Wheaton.

He spent his life working at various mines throughout Wyoming, Idaho and Nevada. He was a member of the Golconda Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his many children and grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wheaton, Golconda; his children, Dennis Wheaton, Alaska; Roxanne (John) Brown, Alaska; Robin Walters, Oregon; Vicki Wheaton, California; Larry Wheaton, Alaska; Janet (Joe) Boudreau, Winnemucca; and Candice Wheaton, Washington; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mollie Howland, Washington, and Elaine Howard, Wyoming.

He was preceded by his wife, June Wheaton; his parents; two sisters and a brother; his sons, Billy and Bobby Crockett. A pot luck social will be held Jan. 24, 2015, at the Golconda School House at 1 p.m.; please bring a dish.[[In-content Ad]]
