What is happening to our younger generation?

Editor:

Leon and I were sweltering under the almost noon-day sun trying to find out where our sprinkler system had sprung a leak. Deciding we might have to take out a section of our 30-year-plus juniper bushes, we were becoming discouraged! A young couple pulled up alongside of us and asked, "Could you use some help?" I laughed and answered, "Yeah, you think?" As they were getting out of their truck, the husband was rolling up his sleeves I asked, "Where are you heading?" They answered, "The rodeo." I said, "You are all dressed up-you don't need to do this."

As he was kneeling down they stated that they only lived a few houses up the street and could change clothes if needed. He asked Leon to let him take a look to see if he could see where the leak was and his arms were longer maybe he could reach it. To make a long story short: HE FIXED IT!!! As I was passing time with his wife, I said, "I can't believe you two." Her response was, "Our parents taught us right!" What a tribute to their parents and to them also.

"What is happening to our younger generation?" With young people like Amanda and Curtis Tollefsrud around they are going to be just fine! Thank you, Thank you, and thank you for saving us hours in the hot sun.
