WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday beginning at 10 a.m. in courthouse meeting room 201.
The meeting begins with the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, public comment and possible approval of the March 5, March 19 and April 2 regular meeting minutes.
The administrative report follows at 10:05 a.m. Consent agenda items include a request for adjustment to the Humboldt County Real Property Tax Roll. Solid waste and public lands planning matters, miscellaneous reports and correspondence and claims for expenditure of county funds are also scheduled.
Nuisance issues are scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Commissioners will set to Public Hearing an alleged nuisance on Parcel #43 Grass Valley Ranchos (Assessor's Parcel Number 05-562-04, Legal owner - Kirk and Deborah Thompson). They will also set to Public Hearing an alleged nuisance at 8425 Prairie Dog Avenue, Winnemucca, on property owned by Robert and Beverly A. Shell.
An appointment to the Western Nevada Development District Board of Directors will follow at 10:20 a.m.
Planning matters are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. There will be a public hearing for RH-12-02. This is a zone change request submitted by Desert Mountain Surveying as the agent for Maximiliano and Maria Elida Herrera. It would rezone property from RR-13 MH (Rural Ranchette 13,000 square foot minimum lot size with a mobile home overlay) to R-1-6 MH (Single-Family Residential 6,000 square foot minimum lot size with a mobile home overlay). The parcel is located at 4315 Warmouth Lane in Winnemucca (Assessor's Parcel # 10-391-38).
VH-12-09 is a medical-health hardship variance application submitted by Jackie McGowan to allow for a second dwelling, a travel trailer, on the property for a friend. The variance would allow the applicant's friend, Eldon Sandsness, to reside on the property to act as a caretaker when the applicant has to leave the state (for months at a time) to care for her daughter. The site is located at 8380 E. Wagon Wheel Ave. (Assessor's parcel #10-512-08).
Commissioners will set to Public Hearing RH-12-03. This is a zone change request submitted by Desert Mountain Surveying as the agent for Echeverria Construction to rezone property from RR-13 MH (Rural Ranchette 13,000 Square Foot minimum lot size with a mobile home overlay) to R-3 (Multiple Family Residential). The parcel is located at 4370 Sunny Drive (southwest corner of Sunny Drive and Bonnefield Street) in Winnemucca (Assessor's Parcel #10391-23).
At 10:45 a.m. commissioners will hear a request from Desert Mountain Surveying as the agent for Maximiliano and Maria Herrera for a waiver of the improvement requirements within a half-mile of the City of Winnemucca for paving, curb, gutter and sidewalks. Said waiver would apply to Parcel May PH-12-13.
Road matters follow at 11 a.m. Scheduled items include a report of pending Road Department projects and miscellaneous road-related matters (if any).
