WINNEMUCCA - The upcoming Western Art & Craft Show, in conjunction with the Superior Livestock Auction, will feature many talented artists and craftsmen selling one-of-a-kind items.
Debbie Hummel and MaryAnna Enochson said they have had fun bringing the show together.
The Western Art & Craft show is open to the public and will be located in the east hall of the Winnemucca Convention Center. Admission is free for the two-day event, Aug. 1-2. The hours are Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Local vendors include Ricardo's Saddlery offering saddles, ropes and riding gear. Teddy Swecker will be featuring her oil paintings and landscapes of Nevada. Horsehoe Art by James Cisna and Rawhide Gifts & Things will have Nevada made frames, blankets, and misc. items. Discovery Toys and books will be offered by Erica Mastin, Native American beadwork by Mervin Wilson and unique redwood planters and outdoor art will be available from Torrey Herrera.
The Vintage Lotus will be having a "Coming Out Party" featuring their re-purposed antiques. Butch Porter and Daughters will be offering unique floral arrangements. Timmylyn Delong, Christy Wright and Samme Engelson will be displaying and selling many of their beautiful quilts.
Linda Gage from Jordan Valley, Ore., will be in Winnemucca with original oil and water color paintings and greeting cards. Her husband, Leon Gage, will be offering his buckaroo gear and hand engraved silver jewelry. G-T Photos from Wellington, Nev., will be offering their beautiful western photos from framed to greeting card size.
If you're in need of a new cowboy hat, Lisa Ackerman can fix you up, or perhaps you need a gear bag to hold all your treasures. If so, come see Sharon Glascock with Ole Bags & Boot Jacks. John Mincer will be here from Fallon offering his handmade bits, spurs, belt buckles and western jewelry.
Three vendors are coming from Utah - Edward & Jaynie McQuirk creates beautiful jewelry from silverware. Cynthia Bohannon and Wendy Russell will be offering home decor, floral arrangements and jewelry. Kelly Donovan, an award-winning artist, will be in Winnemucca with his oil paintings and sculptures.
The organizers say there will be a wide range of items that will appeal to everyone. If you want a new cowboy hat, saddle, gear, art, or something for your yard or perhaps a quality toy or book for the kids, come on down, they said.
Also happening this week in Winnemucca, Superior Livestock Auction's Video Royale XXI will be broadcast live from the Winnemucca Convention Center Wednesday, July 31, through Friday, Aug. 2.
The event always attracts a crowd of livestock buyers and sellers. Thousands of head of cattle will be sold during the auction.[[In-content Ad]]
