Wesley Jack Copeland, 54, died Dec. 31, 2014, in Winnemucca, Humboldt County, Nev. He was born May 10, 1960, in Eureka, Humboldt County, Calif., later living in Pendleton, Ore. Wes attended Pendleton High School and Blue Mountain Community College. He made a living in the logging and mining industry.
Wes is survived by his mother Juanita Copeland of Burns, Ore.; sisters Jacqueline Dickenson of Burns, Ore., and Barbara Copeland of Pendleton, Ore., and his brother Will Copeland of Winnemucca, Nev. He is preceded in death by his father Jack C. Copeland.
Funeral services will be held at Sonoma Funeral Home in Winnemucca, Nev., on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. Following the service there will be a reception at The Martin Hotel. Wes will be flown to Pendleton, Ore., where services will be held at Burns Mortuary Chapel of Pendleton on Jan. 10, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. Following the service there will be a reception at the Elks. He will be laid to rest in Olney Cemetery in Pendleton, Ore., on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at 11 a.m.
