CARSON CITY - The Sesquicentennial Commission revealed a new design for Nevada 150's official website, www.nevada150.org, which includes more information about how Nevadans can get involved with the Sesquicentennial celebration.
The newest additions to Nevada 150's website include upcoming events, storytelling and education resources. A new feature on the website allows Nevada communities to submit requests to make their events official Nevada 150 events. Communities all around the state have the chance to share their celebration of Nevada's 150th birthday. To apply to be recognized as an official Nevada 150 event, please visit http://www.nevada150.org/event-applications/.
Additionally, the website houses a feature for Nevadans to share their stories, photos and experiences they have had in the state. To share a story, please go to http://www.nevada150.org/get-involved/tell-us-your-story/.
Nevada 150's website also displays resources for education purposes. Resources include: state artifacts for kids, online resources for teachers, Nevada facts, the history of Nevada and links to counties and cities in Nevada. Nevada businesses and citizens can also participate by making a financial contribution via the website.
