This WCVA meeting will be held in the East Hall convention center lounge. On the agenda:
• Presentation and acceptance of the 2012 audit report
• A request for a facilities grant for the Frontier Community Coalition's "Celebrate Diversity" dinner.
• A request for doation to replace the scoreboards used for youth athletics
• A request by Chihuahua's for an extension of time for a Mexican dance on March 30
• A request for a facility grant for a Lowry Music Boosters Club fundraiser
• A cooperative funding request from Jim Davis - Superior Livestock Auction
• A request for allocation of money to assist the city of Winnemucca with overtime costs for law enforcement at special events sponsored by WCVA
• Accommodation refund requests
Staff reports include financial reports on WCVA events, review and approval of the WCVA's tentative fiscal year 2014 budget, a proposal to replace the electronic sign on W. Wmca. Blvd, an update and possible action on the retrofit or replacement of the Winnemucca Events Center (WEC) covered arena, and the WEC addition.
The board secretary and counsel will give board members an update on the carpet and tile installation contract, an update on the convention center east hall electronic marquee and awning project, and report on the joint city-county-WCVA meeting on the improvement project at the intersection of Winnemucca Boulevard and Melarkey Street, and the board will discuss for possible action the termination of the Porcupine Creek sign ground lease. The board will also go over January's financial reports, and options to diversify cash investments.
