It has been wisely stated: "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." The Communist Manifesto clearly states its intent to destroy the "nuclear" family, and mandate government training and education of children from infancy. Obama's plans fit this mindset, which is really war against God and His basic institution of marriage and the family. Did you know that in the early days of our Republic, and a century before the revolution, the government was not involved in education? It was done by parents, churches or community organizations. Parental education and private or church schools were the source of the Founders' education. Until after 1850, the government had no role in education. In 1859 President Buchanan vetoed a bill that would have used tax money for education, saying that the Constitution gave no such authority to the federal government. Today, massive tax money is spent on secular, Godless education. But Luther said, "Educate a man without God, and you have a clever devil to contend with." Can anyone dispute that statement? The evidence is ample, even to the highest levels of our government.
The Hebrews were slaves in Egypt, and the king was a "clever devil" who feared the Hebrews gaining power, so issued an order for midwives to kill all Hebrew boys at birth. But the midwives "feared God," and refused to comply. Therefore, he issued another order to Hebrews for all baby boys to be cast into the river. One mother who feared God refused to comply. She hid her baby three months, but it got risky, so she made an ark for him, put it in the river's edge and left her daughter to watch.
Mothers who fear God, rather than men, can trust God to work behind the scenes on their behalf. Sure enough, at just the right time, the princess came to wash herself, and when baby Moses cried, she was drawn to him. His sister came over and volunteered to get a Hebrew mother to nurse him; and the princess paid her wages for training her own child. This mother had her boy for the first few years, and then had to take him to the palace, where he grew up. But her training changed the life of Moses, and he became one of the most important men in history. Your love and care for your child is all-important during these formative years, mother. "Train up a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Remember, "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him." Not the rod of anger, nor the rod of frustration, but the rod of correction. "He that loves his son chastens him many times."
One mother, like many, felt that she had to work to help make ends meet. But she wanted to be a mother to her children, as God intended. She and her husband started cutting unnecessary things from their budget, and finally found that they could make it on her husband's income. She wrote a book entitled, "Miserly Moms." We are told in II Timothy 3 that "perilous times" will come, characterized by 18 sins, the first two of which are self-love and covetousness - the destroyer of families. For you mothers who are burdened down, Jesus said, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly of heart, and you shall find rest unto your souls, for My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." Yes, it is a yoke, and that means submission, doesn't it. But everyone who submits finds His all-sufficient grace to be adequate. American Christians need to ponder Hebrews 13:5,6. "Let your manner of life be without covetousness, and be content with such things as you have, for He has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man shall do unto me.'" That is freedom, isn't it. A hundred years from now all the "nice" things you've wanted, and perhaps worked hard for, will be just dust and ashes. But what happens to your children is all-important. And that is your God-given responsibility.
