Walter “Jack” Jackson Burrus, Sr. 80, of Winnemucca, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at his home. He was born on Sept. 13, 1930, in Iowa to Ray William and Mary Ida Burrus. After completing high school, Walter worked as a truck driver and a farmer. He enjoyed his work in farming and socializing around the café coffee table.
Jack was a special person to all who know him. His radiant personality and laugh will be missed in the places he used to frequent. In his last days, he was quoted as saying “It’s been a good ride.”
Private family services under the direction of Albertson Funeral Home have been held.
