Voters choose Kim, Hopfer for hospital board

WINNEMUCCA - Voters propelled Dr. Soon Kim back to her seat on Humboldt General Hospital's board of trustees, and gave appointee Ed Hopfer his first full term on the board.

Dr. Kim won the race for Seat C on the board with 2,862 votes, or 53.05 percent, while challenger Bill Hammargren trailed with 2,533 votes, or 46.95 percent.

Hopfer carried the race for Seat D with 3,031 votes, or 58.2 percent, compared to 2,177 votes, or 41.8 percent for challenger Jenny Setzer.
