Virginia Blackburn, 92, of Orovada, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 6, 2014, in Vancouver, Wash.
Virginia was born in a farmhouse near Artesian, S.D. on Oct. 23, 1922, to Pearle and Elmer Guthridge.
On April 26, 1942, she married Floyd Leland Blackburn and was married until Floyd's passing in 2012. They had lived in Orovada since 1996.
Virginia and Floyd were high school sweethearts and both graduated from Corning California high school.
Virginia enjoyed church activities and yard work.
Virginia is survived by her children Gary, Bruce, Peggy and Barbara Blackburn; grandchildren Brian, Lisa and Traci; great grandchildren, Nik, Chasity, Shelby, and Taylor Ann.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Blackburn; daughter Ann; parents Pearle and Elmer Guthridge; brothers Edgar, Kenneth, and Virgil Guthridge; and sister Juanita.
