WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt Museum and the Northern Nevada Arts Council bring a unique classical music performance to Winnemucca.

Harpists Marina Roznitovsky Oster and violinist Vanessa Porter will perform selections from Bach, Prokofiev, Mozart and other classical composers on Sunday, Jan. 26 at the Pleasant Senior Center.

The concert begins at 1:15 p.m.; general admission is $20; $15 for student, seniors and active military.

Marina Roznitovsky currently teaches harp at the University of Nevada, Reno and Truckee Meadows Community College, and operates a private harp studio in Reno. She is currently the principal harpist with the Reno Chamber Orchestra, Susanville Symphony and the Nevada Opera. She is active in charity concerts and events and a number of her performances have been broadcast on National Israeli and United States television and radio. 

 As an orchestral musician, Vanessa Porter has performed with many orchestras including the Indianapolis Symphony, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, the Reno Philharmonic and Reno Chamber Orchestra.  Vanessa started teaching when she was 16, and has built large studios in Winona Lake, Ind., Indianapolis, Ind., and Reno as well as directing the Reno Violin Camp every summer.
