The Humboldt Volunteer Hospice is offering local residents the chance to take a drive down memory lane-literally.

The local nonprofit is raffling off a vintage 1965 Ford Mustang.

Tickets are now on sale for $20 each; the winner will be selected on November 6, 2014, at a "Business After Hours" Chamber Mixer, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop.

The car was donated to the organization last year. Since then it has been re-painted, mechanically examined "and it's in excellent condition," said HVH Executive Director Sherry Smith.

She added, "This amazing vehicle would be a great addition to anyone's driveway!"

Tickets are available for purchase at the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop, located at 720 E. Fourth Street, or at the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice offices, located at 705 E. Fourth Street.

All proceeds from the Mustang raffle will go to support the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice in its mission to help local residents suffering from chronic, debilitating or terminal illnesses.

All hospice care is provided at no cost to patients. Families do not need a doctor's referral in order to access hospice services.
