WINNEMUCCA - The 12th Annual Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. Parade participants will congregate on Railroad Street in front of the Mineshaft beginning at 10:30 a.m.; the parade will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and end at the parking lot of Kafoury Armstrong on First Street.
The purpose of the parade is to remember the airmen, coast guard, marines, merchant marines, sailors and soldiers who have served their country during war and peace.
Veterans are encouraged to participate in the parade, as are non-veteran supporters. The public is also encouraged to gather on the sidewalks to watch the procession. For more information, contact Anita Paquette at 623-2472.
