Velva Jean Campbell

Velva Jean Campbell, 74 of Lovelock died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, in Reno, surrounded by her family. Jean was born Jan. 18, 1938, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Eugene and Ima Jean Thurber. She married Richard Reighley Campbell on Dec. 1, 1956. After moving around, they settled in Lovelock in 1965 with their three children. Jean loved dancing, reading, crocheting, sewing, socializing with friends and doing many things with her grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Williard. She is survived by her husband Richard (Buss) Campbell, her three children, daughter Nanci Linn, Richard Eugene (Connie) and Jeffrey Carleton. Three grandsons, Richard E. Jr. (Jessica), Blair (Linn) and Ronnie Drake, Jr. (Kristie), four granddaughters, Tami and Jennifer Drake, Vanessa and Corey Campbell and eleven great grandchildren and one brother, John of New Mexico.

Mom and Grandma we miss you and love you lots and will always be thinking of you.

A memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at 1 p.m.
