WINNEMUCCA - The Nevada Office of Veterans Services Rural Outreach Rover program will be in Winnemucca on Wednesday, July 10. A veterans service officer will be available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Guard Armory, 735 W. Fourth St.
Veterans can get information on starting a VA benefits claim, learn about VA benefits and get help cutting through the VA red tape.
Pre-scheduled appointments are suggested. To schedule an appointment, call Pamela at (775) 688-1653 Ext. 6, or Barbara at (775) 321-4880. Walk-in appointments will only be seen as time permits.
Veterans are advised to bring a copy of their DD-214 discharge document and/or current VA paperwork. If the claim involves dependents, bring birth certificates, current and prior marriage certificates, divorce decrees, and social security numbers.
