Local artisan Mike Howard of Howard's Metal Art stands next to a metal mule deer he created for the City of Winnemucca's intersection project at Bridge and Melarky Streets. Howard said it was awesome to have his work displayed in such a prominent location in town. He made four animal emblems which depict an elk, mule deer, big horn sheep and a covey of chukar. The figures were cut from steel using a plasma cutter, and were derived from images of live animals.
