Twila Ann Ahnefeld, age 44, of Winnemucca went home to be with loved ones on Sunday, April 22, 2012.
She was born on July 17, 1967, to the late Ivan Joe and Gloria (Kirk) Lawver in Klamath Falls, Ore. She was raised in Beatty and Klamath Falls, Ore. She attended college at Haskell Indian Nations University, Lawrence, Kan. She loved flying and came very close to receiving a private pilot's license. Twila lived and worked for many states, from Florida to Washington State and was loved everywhere she traveled. Her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed.
She is survived by her husband Gary C. Ahnefeld Jr. and step son Caleb M. Ahnefeld. Her parents Albert Sr. and Gloria Lawver; brother Albert Lawver Jr.; sisters Robbin Moore, Eileen Joe, and Brandie Lawver; nephews Dupree, Alec, Brenner Joe, Darick Lawver, Wesley Lawver, and Justin Moore; nieces Makawla and Aiyanna Lawver, Amber and Fable Lawver and Sasha Woods. Parents in-law Bob and Helen Kopacz and brother in-law James L. Ahnefeld.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Woody Joe Sr. and her father Ivan Dale Joe.
Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
There will be a celebration of Life for Twila at her favorite bar, Mike's Mineshaft Bar on Friday, May 11, 2012, starting at 1 p.m.
