Twelve counts against Seth Thomas Bidegary of sexual assault with a child under 14 years of age were bound over to Sixth Judicial District Court Department One at a preliminary hearing in justice court Tuesday.
A fourth amended criminal complaint was filed on May 19 adding 12 additional counts of lewdness with a child under 14 to the case, but those were not bound over. Court documents cited a "lack of sufficient evidence."
There are two other cases against Bidegary still in justice court. The first charges him with two counts of statutory sexual seduction and two counts of conspiracy to commit sexual seduction. The second charges him with 20 counts of unlawful to use a minor in producing or as a subject of sexual portrayal in performance.
Bidegary, of Paradise Valley, was arrested on Oct. 18 following an extensive investigation conducted by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, according to a news release at the time.
He was arrested at his place of employment in Midas and a search warrant was executed on his residence in Paradise Valley the same day, according to the news release.
Bidegary's sexual assault case was bound over Tuesday, but no date has been set for an arraignment hearing.
Bidegary's co-defendant, Angel Shelly Janece Vanosdall, pleaded not guilty Monday to two counts of statutory sexual seduction (category C felonies) and two counts of conspiracy to commit statutory sexual seduction (gross misdemeanors) earlier this month. She is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Sept. 15. Her trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 13.
