Tryouts for Lowry volleyball team begin Monday morning

WINNEMUCCA - Tryouts for the Lowry High School volleyball team will take place on Monday and Tuesday.

Freshmen and sophomores will tryout from 7 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and juniors and seniors will go from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. All grades will be back at the school from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The first official practice will be Wednesday, Aug. 21.

All freshmen and junior must have a new physical exam. All sophomores and seniors must have a physical exam on file at Lowry High School.

All required paperwork must be submitted in order to be allowed to try out. That includes a physical exam form, NIAA concussion prevention form, NIAA alcohol/tobacco/drug policy form and parental permission form.

Paperwork can be picked up at Lowry High School.

The Lady Bucks are interested in fielding a freshmen team this season. All and any freshmen interested in volleyball are encouraged to tryout on August 19 and 20.

Lowry opens its season at home on Friday, Aug. 30, and Saturday, Aug. 31, with the State Farm Invitational. Schools from Idaho and northern Nevada will be on hand for the two-day event, that will be played in both gyms at the high school.
