Editor:
I have a continuous issue, and I would like to hear the opinions from other Winnemucca citizens on this issue.
How many of you get home after a long day of work like to sit down, kick your shoes off and turn on the game or sit down to dinner with your family? I know that is what I would like to do. Instead I get to go out in front of my house with a trash bag and pick up other people's children's garbage. Why should this be my responsibility? I have placed a trash can that is less than appealing outside my fence in the hopes that some of the students will make an effort. Some have but I can still fill an entire trash bag with garbage twice a week. So whose responsibility is it? Multiple avenues have been explored with no results. People seem to be too busy with other things. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Anyone who thinks I am out of line please come on over after work and I would be more than happy to let you help pick up trash.
Thank you for listening.
