A tractor-trailer overturned Tuesday afternoon at about 3:30 p.m. on Interstate 80 near the Pilot truck stop west of Winnemucca. The accident blocked both lanes of eastbound traffic on the interstate, forcing law enforcement to divert traffic off I-80 at the 173 exit and around the scene of the wreck. Sgt. Greg Johnson, with the Nevada Highway Patrol, said the driver drifted into the median and overcorrected, causing the rig to rotate clockwise in a broadside manner. It overturned and slid, coming to rest on the shoulder of the interstate. The truck was hauling produce. There were no injuries. The driver, Jarnail Singh, of Ceres, Calif., was cited for failure to maintain the travel lane, the NHP said.
