CARSON CITY - Nevada Health Link is reminding all Nevadans who were unsuccessful in signing up for health insurance on the NevadaHealthLink.com website because of technical issues that it's not too late to finish the process. But today is the last day of the special enrollment period. Nevadans can visit NevadaHealthLink.com to complete their applications, and assistance is available over the phone and in-person by calling 855-7-NVLINK.
"There are teams of assisters throughout the state that are still providing one-on-one help completing applications on NevadaHealthLink.com," said Steve Fisher, Interim Executive Director of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange. "We've ensured resources are available to help any Nevadan who needs assistance completing their application for health insurance on NevadaHealthLink.com."
In-person assistance is available from Nevada Primary Care Association, Consumer Assistance and Resource Enterprise (CARE), and Ramirez Group. These organizations have teams that can guide Nevadans through the application process and help answer their questions. Nevadans can call 855-7-NVLINK to find local assisters in their areas and to also get the application process started.
Financial help from the federal government is also still available through today. Nevada Health Link offers certified health insurance plans that are high quality, regardless of the amount a person pays; applicants won't be denied, even if they have a previous health condition.
Nevadans should also know there is no close of the enrollment period for Medicaid applications. Nevadans may enroll in a Medicaid plan on NevadaHealthLink.com at any time throughout the year. For questions about existing Medicaid applications specifically, Nevadans are encouraged to call (775) 684-7200 in Northern Nevada and (702) 486-1646 in Southern Nevada.
Nevada Health Link has successfully enrolled 35,034 Nevadans in income-based health insurance to date.
