Timothy Stuart Pinkston Sr

Timothy Stuart Pinkston Sr. passed away at his home in Winnemucca, NV on September 9, 2012. He was 65.

At his request a private memorial will be held at a later time.

Tim was born March 27, 1947 in San Jose, CA to William (Roy) and Bonnie Pinkston, the youngest of four children. He graduated from Westmont High in 1965 and remained in the Bay Area where he met and married his wife Deborah. Tim worked in the pharmaceutical industry in San Jose before moving to Southern California with his wife and son Timothy Jr. (TJ).

Tim achieved his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer after swearing in as a deputy for Crook County Sheriff's Office in Prineville, Oregon; where his youngest son Noah, was born. He later transferred to the Prineville Police Dept. and rose to the rank of Captain. Tim served as Chief of Police in Madras, Oregon then returned to Prineville to retire. Tim and Debbie moved to her birthplace of Hopkinsville, KY before finally settling down with family in Winnemucca, NV.

Tim was known for his unmatched sense of humor and fondness for the time he spent with friends and family. He was an avid outdoorsman; constantly in search of the perfect fishing hole or hunting spot. Tim was also a huge sports fan accompanied often by those who shared his passion at 49ers, Giants and Nevada Wolfpack games. He was always up for a game of cribbage or chickenfoot.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Bonnie and his brother William (Bill).

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie; brothers Michael and James; sons TJ and Noah; daughters-in-law Kelly and Shavon; grandchildren Jaxson, Miranda, and Raelynn; several nieces and a nephew.

'Papa' Tim, you will be forever cherished and dearly missed.
