Three Buckaroos named to all-state baseball team Noble earns first-team honors

WINNEMUCCA - The Lowry High School baseball team had three players named to the respective all-state teams. Bryan Noble was the Buckaroos' only first team choice, as he was selected as a pitcher.

Truckee's Steven Baker and Mike Ellis were named the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively.

The first team included pitchers Dalton Ridgway (Elko), Tanner Howell (Boulder City) and Tony Barazon (Truckee). The infield was made up of JJ Boyle (Churchill County), Shane Terril (Moapa Valley), Trevor Achenbach (Spring Creek) and Aaron Prado (Truckee). Frank deBraga (Churchill County), Michael Hernandez (Boulder City) and Trevor Aldridge (Truckee) made up the outfield, while catcher Tommy Headley (Elko) and utility player Alonzo Williams (Churchill County) rounded out the first team.

Lowry's Brandon Okuma (infield) and Jace Billingsley (utility) were named to the second team.

The rest of the second team included pitchers Dylan Mortensen (Moapa Valley), Hunter Mori (Churchill County) and Colton Marchessault (South Tahoe). The infield consisted of Scott Hutchings (Churchill County), Jackson Rohlf (Truckee) and Lane Stringham (Moapa Valley). Bill Barth (Boulder City) was the catcher and Cedric Zumwalt (Spring Creek), Kasen Hughes (Moapa Valley) and Jake Repp (Moapa Valley) were the outfielders.

For the second year in a row, the Buckaroos were named the 3A state academic champions.
