The Battle Mountain Junior High School Talent Show was held June 4 and included the categories of singing and miscellaneous. There were a total of 15 acts. Shown above left, back row, left to right, Hania Amezcua and Kandise Baird; front row, Yulisa Vazques and Sammi Wilson. In the miscellaneous category, first place - Sammi Wilson and Yulisa Vazques dancing to "Show Me How You Burlesque." Second place went to Kandise Baird for displaying her original paintings and drawings. Second place for singing was won by Hania Amezcua, who sang "There's a Hero." Above right, Monique Stuart sang "Broken" and won first place for the singing category. She won best of show and got to perform at the eighth grade graduation on June 5.
