Terry W. Miller was born Sept. 25, 1948 in Cascade, Idaho to Robert and Patricia Miller. The Miller family lived throughout the interior northwest until moving south to Tungsten and eventually Winnemucca in the late 1950's. Terry graduated from Humboldt County High School in 1966 and was married to Boni Echevarria on Feb. 4, 1967.
Terry and Boni owned Century 21-Sonoma Realty in Winnemucca for 28 years. Terry was elected to four separate terms as city councilman for the City of Winnemucca between 1983 and 1997. Terry also served on the Humboldt County Board of Equalization for 22 years, and was a volunteer with the city fire department and ambulance corps. Terry spent most of his adult life promoting the City of Winnemucca a desirable community for all.
Terry is survived by his wife Boni and their children Tina Clarno (Bill), and Kelly Miller (Wendy) and granddaughters Addison and Paige Miller. Terry is also survived by two brothers Patrick and David along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in the West Hall of the Winnemucca Convention Center. Graveside services at the Winnemucca Cemetery and a luncheon will follow the Celebration of Life.
