'Teen health' focus of physician-led presentation at Lowry High School next Wednesday

Parent seminar scheduled for 6-7 p.m. on April 17

WINNEMUCCA - Lowry High School's Parent-Teacher-Student Organization invites all area residents to a special presentation next week.

"Your Teen's Health: What You Need to Know" will take place from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in the library at Lowry High School.

Dr. Leonard Perkinson will lead the discussion. The local family practice physician will discuss all aspects of teenage health and wellness. He will also leave plenty of time for questions from audience members.

"We are excited to welcome Dr. Perkinson as our guest speaker," said Lowry High School PTSO President Nicole Maher. "He has a special love for the youth, especially teenagers, and we know he will provide us with sound information and guidance that will help our teens remain as healthy as possible."

All parents and community members are invited to attend; participants do not need to have a child in high school.

"You won't want to miss this informative presentation," said Maher, "and you will certainly enjoy the opportunity to get to know Dr. Perkinson better."
