Public Works Supervisor Roger Sutton was presented with a five-year service award by Mayor Di An Putnam and the city of Winnemucca at last week's city council meeting. Putnam said that the city is fortunate to have him and appreciates the extra time and diligence he puts into his position. "You just don't know how much we appreciate what you do," she said. City Manager/Engineer Steve West also said a few words about Sutton: "He is just a real dedicated worker that makes great common sense decisions, which is hard to find," he said. "He is just a great department head all around." Sutton said it has been a pleasure working for the city of Winnemucca.
