Two people were arrested Monday following an investigation by the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Task Force that resulted in the discovery of a "one-pot meth lab," according to Nevada Division of Investigations Lt. James Mercado.
The investigation began nearly two weeks ago when TRIDENT was notified of suspicious activity at a local hotel. A follow-up to that report resulted in contact with the Robert Ray Domer and Adrianna Norman, Mercado said.
A portion of the hotel was quarantined during the search of the room, which turned up a beaker containing a chemical product in an unknown stage of manufacture. Test samples will provide further information.
"Years ago a meth lab was usually the size of a warehouse," Mercado said, "but these days you can manufacture in your kitchen sink."
Mercado said there was a child in the room when it was searched.
Domer and Norman were arrested Feb. 24 on multiple charges. Domer is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance and child abuse, neglect or endangerment. He is being held on $425,000 bail.
Norman is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, child abuse, neglect or endangerment, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on $480,140 bail.
Both suspects are being held in the Humboldt County Jail.[[In-content Ad]]
