LOVELOCK - The Street Fever 2012 Summer Show & Shine will be held this weekend under the trees at the Courthouse Park in Lovelock.
The event, sponsored by the Lovelock Street Fever Car Club, begins Friday, June 1, with an ice cream social at 6 p.m. at Temptations, 395 Main. St.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, with an awards presentation set for Sunday at noon. You must be present both days to be eligible for Best of Show and Runner-Up awards. The show is open to all vehicles. Registration is $35.
A poker walk will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a $5 entry and a $100 high hand payout. Bring an upwrapped toy to registration and get a free poker hand. Toys will be donated to the Lovelock Angel Tree for distribution at Christmas.
Other events include a 50/50 raffle, cake walk, soap carving contest, pancake breakfast and games for young and old.
Participant voting will be held on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. L.S.F.C.C. members do not vote.
The event will be held rain or shine; all scheduled events are subject to change or cancellation.
