Help local families by "Stuffing the Bus" with donated items this Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the parking lots of Khoury's and Raley's. The event is sponsored by Newmont and Newmont employee volunteers will be on hand to accept the donations.
Local families in need are nominated to receive the contributions by assistance organizations and by Newmont's external relations team.
Newmont is hoping to Stuff the Bus with new toys and food donations. Non-perishable food such as canned goods and boxed items are preferred.
Jennie Chapman, Newmont representative, said said toys for younger children are usually in plentiful supply, but gifts for older children are often scarce.
Gifts for tweens and teens would be much appreciated donations, said Chapman.[[In-content Ad]]
