In the spring of each year, all ninth graders take several practice tests to help prepare them for the high stakes state tests at the end of their 10th grade year. The results are also used to help teachers make informed instructional decisions and adjustments within their classrooms. The students with the top scores in reading, mathematics and science are rewarded with a trip for ice cream with their teacher. Students with top scores in two or more tests had lunch with their principal, Susan Baldwin.
