Bake held true to his word. On May 31, during the fun last day of school, Bake allowed the students of Stephanie Yanni's second-grade class to shave his head. Will Evenson got the first cut for bringing in $57 of his saved allowance.
"It was fun to shave his head and I want to help kids with cancer," a giggly Evenson said.
The class raised $137 - the highest amount of all the classrooms.
The classrooms raised $670 in all, in addition to an anonymous donation of $300 - all in change. Bake said he was extremely proud of the students and their teachers.
