WINNEMUCCA - Lowry High School's Jesse Studebaker and Calvin Connors were named to the Division I-A North all-league, first team selected by the league's coaches.
Elko's Chris Klekas was named the Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
The Indians' Nathan Klekas and Brian Pearson were also named to the first team, along with Fernley's Tim Klotz, Sparks' Bobby Brown and South Tahoe's Brandon Cramer.
Lowry junior Josh Watterson was the lone Buckaroo chosen to the second team. Elko's Marshall Dumas and Brandon Jenkins, Churchill County's Jeff Evett and Sparks' Keiffer Putnam and DJ Devine rounded out the second team.
The honorable mention team included Lowry's Garrett Naveran, Elko's Tim Meo, Spring Creek's Caden Gunnell, Sparks' Isaih Campbell, South Tahoe's Cale Backinger, John Cefalu and Hayden Bronken, Fernley's Kevin Montgomery and Edwin Salse, Dayton's Bernardo Macias, Truckee's Adam Morgan and Graham Millie and Churchill County's Jahn Galera and LaDamian Crawley.
The all-state picks were released as well, with Studebaker earning first-team honors. The Indians' Pearson and Klekas were the other two selections from the Division I-A North.
Desert Pines' Julian Jacobs and Rameek Keith and Clark's Sir Washington and Dionate Jones were named to the first-team as well. Jacobs will be attending USC next near, while Washington has signed with Eastern Washington.
Connors earned second-team honors and was joined from the Division I-A North by Klotz, Brown and Cramer of Fernley, Sparks and South Tahoe, respectively. Desert Pines' Malik Davis, Boulder City's Kaleb Bailey and Chaparral's TJ Savoy rounded out the second team.
